Who am I?

I am Helene Auramo, a 36-year old mother of two (Mila 4 years old and Uuno 2 years old), an entrepreneur, CEO and a co-founding member of both Slush, and a new political movement in Finland called Liike Nyt.

I have an interdisciplinary educational background as I hold a degree from the Helsinki School of Economics as a Master of Economics. I have also participated in Aalto University’s Media Lab programme but I have not yet graduated. I have completed a course, Making corporate brands more effective, at Harvard Business School. I do believe that my time at the Harvard Business School widened my world view and I realized how different perceptions create new ideas.  I am additionally a health coach and I am currently studying to be a makeup artist.

I have been an entrepreneur for over ten years. I started Finland’s first social media marketing company at the age of 25 with my fellow students from the Aalto University. I have additionally co-founded the first blogger portal in Finland called Indiedays which was sold to Kaleva a few years ago. Slush is the biggest startup event in Europe which attracted over 20 000 visitors, 2600 startups and 1600 venture capitals investors in 2017. Learn more about Slush from here.
