Who am I?
I am Helene Auramo, a 36-year old mother of two (Mila 4 years and Uuno 2 years), an entrepreneur, CEO and co-founding member of both Slush and a new political movement in Finland called Liike Nyt.
I have been an entrepreneur for 10+ years. I started Finland’s first social media marketing company at the age of 25 with my fellow students from Aalto University. I have also co-founded the first blogger portal in Finland called Indiedays, which was sold to Kaleva media house a few years ago. Slush is the biggest startup event in Europe, which attracted over 20,000 visitors, 2,600 startups and 1,600 venture capitals investors in 2017.
I have an interdisciplinary educational background: I hold a degree from Helsinki School of Economics (Master of Economics) and I have also participated in Aalto University’s Media Lab programme but I have not yet graduated. I have completed a course, Making corporate brands more effective, at Harvard Business School. I believe that my time at Harvard Business School widened my world view and I realized how different perceptions create new ideas. I am also a certified health coach. Currently I am studying to be a makeup artist to learn something completely different!
